1. What is the course title and code?
IVQ Level 2 Diploma & Specialist Diploma in Healthcare (8629-01, 02)

2. Who can enroll for the course?
Anyone who would like to work in a healthcare environment can enroll. It is most suitable for Nurses, Nurse Aides/Assistants, Nannies, Babysitters, Social Care Workers, Medical Personnel Assistants and other related field.

3. Why should a nurse enroll?
Some Nurses have used the certificate for stepping stone’s job as soon as they get to the country of their choice outside Nigeria.

4. Do I need to relocate to enroll for the course?
You could run this course regardless of your place of residence, we have three categories of leaners; Regular/Private/Distance.

5. What is the course duration?
The course is offered in two levels; Diploma and Specialist. Each level’s duration depends on the mode of learning and learning environment. Minimum duration for regular candidate is Six Months.

6. Where is the venue of training?
The major aspect of the training is practical; candidates undergo practical experience at any hospital close to them. Regular candidates meet in school two times in a month for reviews and theory classes. Venue is City & Guilds Centre, Old Leventis Building, Dugbe Ibadan, Oyo State. Distance and private candidates meets on appointments. All candidates must visit the hospital of their choice for practical training at least two times in a week during the training program.

7. What will holders of the certificate called?
Holders of this qualification are popularly referred to as “Care Givers” in the western part of the world where the course originated from.

8. Does the course involve writing international examination?
No. candidates will have to build up a portfolio of evidence of training. At the end of the course, an external verifier from City & Guilds visit to examine the portfolio and confirm that learning outcomes have been met and that the candidate is qualify for certification.

9. Can the certificate also be used to seek for employment in Nigeria?
Yes. City & Guilds Certificate is recognized by international organizations’ across the globe. Since it is new in Nigeria, we are making a whole lot of effort to ensure massive awareness and acceptance for the certificate in Nigerian healthcare facilities where holders could be suitably engaged.

Prospective candidate must have a good command of spoken and written English language, must pass our initial assessment and possess the passion for the job ahead.

12. What is the age requirement?
Age requirement is 18years and above. Adults can also apply for the course.

13. How much is the course?
Depending on the mode of study, minimum fee is N75, 000. The tuition fee excludes registration fee, uniform and other expenses required during the training program.

14. Do you offer any other service apart from the training?
Yes. We provide care services for Elderly people who require support to cope with daily routine.

15. What kind of care do you provide?
We care for elderly people who require support to cope with diabetes, stroke, dementia, Schizophrenia, cancer and other age related diseases and medical challenges.

16. How do you provide your care services?
Our Care Givers could visit on a daily basis or live with our client, depending on their choice.
